Welcome to Prima Dance!

Prima Dance and Tumbling’s mission is to provide the people of Edwardsville and surrounding areas with the best quality dance and tumbling lessons with impeccable hospitality from our entire team.

Prima Dance & Tumbling is conveniently located south of SIUE campus and can be seen from I-270. “Our location is important to us. We don’t just want to be convenient for Edwardsville and Glen Carbon but also for Collinsville, Maryville, Granite City, Troy, etc.” says owner, Chelsea LaBrie.

About Chelsea

Chelsea LaBrie, is the founder and owner of Prima Dance and Tumbling. She has been taking dance lessons since the age of 3. She grew up competing heavily in the St. Louis region and even nationwide. In high school, Chelsea was a member of the Edwardsville High School Dance Team for 3 years and held a captain position for 1 year. She also continued to compete at a local studio during this time and began an occupation as an Assistant Dance Teacher at Jam Dance Academy. Chelsea’s pursuit of dance didn’t stop there. She attended Arizona State University for 1 year where she double majored in Dance and Interior Design. She then transferred to Southern Illinois University Carbondale where she became a member of the Saluki Shakers Dance Team. Chelsea was a member of the collegiate team for 3 years and held the captain position for 1 year. A couple months after graduating Chelsea decided she wasn’t done with performing her passion. She tried out for the St. Louis Rams Cheerleaders and has currently been on the team for 2 seasons and continuing into her 3rd season.

Chelsea hopes to create a positive environment for all her students giving them poise, confidence, agility as well as learning the importance of health and fitness to carry with them forever. Both recreational and competitive dance will be offered with classes in Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop & more. Tumbling will include a 1600 sq. ft. gym and will provide qualified instructors for tumbling and cheer.
